Welcome to Rockhampton Bridge Club.
Welcome to the Rockhampton Bridge Club situated in the Beef Capital of Australia.
The club was founded in 1970 with the inaugural meeting held at the Commercial Hotel on Thursday 14th May 1970. August 1971 the club became affiliated with the Queensland Bridge Association. In 1978 the club purchased from the Arts Society their building in Victoria Park. Club members fund raised and life memberships were offered to raise the monies for the purchase. This building required significant renovation which was carried out mostly at night and weekends by club members. Recognition is given to Mr Ron Lorraway for his significant contribution towards the restoration. Over the years additional work has been carried out most significant in 1991 when a decision was made to double the size of the building. The building was now suitable to hold congresses with the first of the clubs annual event being held in the club rooms in 1992.
